Today,
I found out my favourite couple broke up.
After six years together.
And I've always thought of them as the perfect couple,
always thought they would be together forever,
even demanded to be the maid of honour on their wedding.
Sigh, such heartbreaking news.

Great Ocean Road
Went there with the Dalpurians two weeks after I came back from Malaysia.
One interesting trivial: This was the FIRST time ever I went to GOR! Despite the many years I've resided here. During my uni days, I was involved in organising a GOR trip but I didn't join the trip, I wonder why. Oh yea, I was caught up with my Honours thesis.
See the lighthouse behind us? Apparently it's one of the iconic spots along GOR.
Lunch time! Another piece of interesting trivial: I hopelessly puked prior to this! All thanks to the winding road. Luckily I managed to hold it until we pulled over, otherwise poor Surekha's car would be stained.
Wing Sze's - lemon prawns linguine. Looks delectable isn't it? It even smells of lemon fragrance too, lovely. Unfortunately, it's rather bland to our liking. I reckon my homemade lemon mushroom linguine is much better.
My mussels in tomato broth! Fantastic especially on a cold day.
The Twelve Apostles, another must-go destinations along GOR. Sadly, it's no longer twelve, some have collapsed over the previous years.

Another highlight of this trip was the cottage we stayed. It has an attic bedroom!

Look, there's even a cute Teddy bear on this bed!

My dinner, salmon with risotto.
And it was yummy, very pleased with my choice.
One more trivial: As much as I hate to say this, age seems to have caught up with us. At the end of the day, we so-called young people actually slept at 11ish! Gosh can you believe it?!! Wait, on second thought, think Twilight must be the culprit. *in denial* So we were watching Twilight and were absolutely bored to death by its slow pace (especially the boys, a puzzled Alex even asked what the movie was about halfway through), by the end of the movie we were just so exhausted that we went straight to bed immediately.
The next day, rise and shine!
This is London Bridge of which part of it collapsed last year, bridge no more.
Boys will be boys.

Went to Cudgee Creek Wildlife Park.
Everyone seemed to be psyched with feeding the animals.
The sole koala in the park. It was sound asleep initially (apparently it needs 22 hours of sleep per day, if memory serves me right), then Alex tried to wake it up and it only moved slightly. Mission failed, LOL.
See the little joey popping out of his mummy's pocket?
Only one word to describe this magnificent creature - yeng!
The staff there were so friendly, one of them let us hold this little joey!
And the poor little guy kept shivering due to the cold.
I didn't realise this until Eileen pointed out - this shot looks like a loving mother doting on her baby! Blame it on the maternal instinct, hehe.
Last but not least, the great finale, on the way back from GOR, my delicious waffles! =)
So some say you've never been to Melbourne if you've never been to Great Ocean Road. I wonder why, I don't really feel strongly about it though. Having said that, I had such great company throughout the trip and that's all that mattered to me.

On a random note, just came back from the airport. Ben is flying back to Malaysia later tonight. How long will he be there? Indefinitely.
Having the whole house to myself, that's mind blowing. Haven't thought much about that given the short notice. Anyway, will definitely miss Ben's company, all the best Ben! =)

Food,
glorious food!!
From a food lover point of view, nothing is more gratifying than good food.
Although having said that, the above seafood udon at this Japanese restaurant in Glen Waverley is anything but gratifying, in fact, it's below mediocre! I'm appalled, very disappointing.
As much as I abhor their food, I camwhored with the udon nevertheless, hehe. Hmm, reckon camwhoring with food has become a habit, LOL.
Anyway, moving along to something more delectable.
Went to Golden House (not sure if I got the name right, oh well, ask Weichao for more information if you're interested) the other day when Fanny was in town.
Basically, it's a steamboat buffet restaurant and for a price of $20 per person, it's all-you-can-eat/drink (yes, you heard me right, including drinks too)!
A small portion out of the ENORMOUS amount of food we devoured, hehe. Btw, love their 'xiao long bao' (小笼包)! *drools*
Fanny grinning while attacking the food. And you know what's even more peculiar?
Weichao was grinning too! Hmm, must be the food I reckon. Who knows, perhaps I would be doing exactly the same thing too if I were caught on camera. ^.^
Speaking of camera, these three photos are the only photos I took in Golden House. I was eventually so distracted by the wide array of food (I remember eating heaps of mussels, yummers!) that I couldn't be bothered to take more photos, hehe.
So, the verdict --> 7/10
And like what I mentioned earlier, ask Weichao if you want to know where the restaurant is located. I can't even remember what street it's at (I know it's near Crown Casion though)! Yes, I know I'm hopeless with directions, thank you and shut up! LOL
Next, moving along to something more exotic.
Went shopping with Audrey yesterday and decided to have Thai for lunch. Now I'm not particularly fond of Thai cuisine, in fact, it's not even one of my preferences. But God knows what happened to me yesterday when I actually suggested Thai!
Anyway, went to Ying Thai at Lygon Street recommended by Audrey.
At Ying Thai. Apparently, it's one of the best Thai restaurants in Melbourne.
Love the caricatures drawn on the wall, so cute!
So, started camwhoring while waiting for the food to 'grace' our table, LOL.
First up, Audrey Rubianto! Love this shot btw, very cute.
Next, yours truly.
My drink. Can't remember its Thai name but it's a Thai version milk tea with a combination of jasmine and pandan. Quite refreshing albeit rather sweet.
I love my Thai milk tea.
Correction: I love CAMWHORING with my Thai milk tea! -__-
And finally, the arrival of FOOD!!
Dish 1: Crisp pork skin with seafood. Never really knew pork skin could taste sooooo good!
Verdict --> 8/10
Dish 2: Green curried seafood. I'm absolutely in love with this dish, especially the gravy, goes so well with rice! *drools*
Verdict --> 8.5/10
And this post wouldn't be complete without yours truly camwhoring with these beautiful dishes (ahem, do pardon my delusion, paiseh)......
So, TADAHHHHHHHH!!!!
Oh happy day! Good food and not to mention, my ‘战胜品’ at the end of the day, so exciting! =)

So the much anticipated return to Churchill was a delightful one.
Potluck dinner, more camwhoring, latenight chatting & gossiping, stamping 'approved' sign on a certain someone's forehead *chuckles*, mooncakes and the 'phantom' lantern session in Glendonald Park. Honestly, I kid you not, try walking around with lanterns in the middle of the night and all you can see are walking lanterns!! LOL
However, amidst such bliss, as I gazed upon
the azure sky and the vast greenery,
the familiar routes,
the familiar smiling faces,
that certain bench in Glendonald Park where a certain entourage of people sheltered from the rain,
that certain unit in Dalpura where once was home,
that certain sliding door where a mafia mobster wannabe emerged which ended in explosive laughter,
that certain kitchen counter where many a potluck took place,
that certain lounge where many a girltalk took place,
that certain crimson chairs which became walking clams,
that certain television which a certain someone loves and gasps whenever Nigella appears,
I was consumed by an overwhelming reminiscent of a seemingly distant past. T_T
一个月前、
一个月后。
从返故居，
同一个动作，
竟然足于令人觉得物是人非！
Coelho's "It's always necessary to know when a stage of one's life has ended" echoed in my head.
So it has ended. What now? Or, where next? I do not know for sure but at least I know wherever His will leads me, that is where I shall be.
In the meantime, it was a proper closure. So this is for you Churchill and for those of you whom I hold dear in my heart (and you should know who you are).
