Isn't this neat?
Know these real life statues are pretty common in Europe but you don't really see them often in Melbourne, so I was quite blown away by this gentleman.
I must say though, he did manage to cause quite a stir and there was eventually a small crowd around him, all flabbergasted by his presence. Btw, what was the lady doing behind him?!!
Not to mention, the crowd also showed their appreciation in monetary terms, myself included. =) Look, even the thank-you box echoes his appearance, wicked!Almost forgot how I love city life, love its vibrance and diversity, and most of all, because it's full of life and opportunities. However, having said that, I'm gonna miss good 'ol Churchill, the people, the place and heck, even the cows!
Speaking of which, I'm very excited yet slightly terrified of the imminent move. Damn, don't you just hate the transition period between different chapters of your life? The realisation of the necessity to move on after you've become so used to a certain place or environment. Guess I'm afraid of the unknown afterall.

Was invited to Lumen's place after church the other day. Gosh, her grandson Braden was sooooooooo CUTE!!
Isn't he a darling? So cute and chubby!! This photo doesn't even do him justice, he's much cuter in person and he just loves to flash you that cheeky cute smile of his, awwww...... Think he's turning 3 soon. Hung around at their place until after dinner and had a wonderful time chatting with Lumen and her husband Norman. Seriously, such close-knitted community is definitely one of the many things I'll miss about this place.

So it has come to my realisation that many have raved about the new Batman movie. And what's my take on the movie?
*pauses momentarily*
CHRISTIAN BALE IS SO HOTTTTTT!!!

Honestly, putting aside Christian Bale's omnipotent charm, the whole movie, from screenplay to casting, was just brilliant! Definitely one of the best superhero movies, very intelligently written, unlike some of those hollow ones that totally lack substance (e.g. Spiderman and Superman Returns, simply horrendous!).
Btw, Heath Ledger did a terrific job as the Joker. It's heartbreaking though, knowing that he's no longer around to witness the grandeur of the movie. Such is the fragility of life isn't it?

And since I love quotes so much, thought I might interest you with this quote taken from The Alchemist:
"I weep for Narcissus, but I never noticed that Narcissus was beautiful. I weep because, each time he knelt beside my banks, I could see, in the depths of his eyes, my own beauty reflected."
To a certain extent, it does sound a little narcissistic but on another level, it's also replete with a sincere sense of self-appreciation. (Btw, just out of curiosity, is there where narcissistic/narcissism/narcissist etc derived from? From a legendary vain character named Narcissus? Kinda makes sense if you ask me.)
Perhaps, there really is a thin line between narcissism and self-appreciation; or, it may be a matter of how things can be so multifaceted and it boils down to how you intend to perceive it. Either way, it's still a mind-blowing quote isn't it? Don't bother answering me, it's meant to be a rhetorical question.
Speaking of quotes, while we're at it, ever heard of this from Mick Jagger, "It's alright to lose yourself as long as you can get yourself back"? Well, I beg to differ Sir Mick Jagger.
Unlike you, most of us don't have millions and millions of dollars to retrieve ourselves if we've gone beyond the point of getting ourselves back. This only applies to filthy rich people. Most of us will have to live with our mistakes, which reminds me of a Cantonese saying --> 做人唔可以行叉踏错。 Touche.
Ok, just my honest opinion, didn't mean to sound bitter. But seriously, don't you think it's rather irresponsible of him to say that? I mean, it's perfectly fine if he's some random guy condemned to perpetual anonymity because no one would care about what he has to say, but he's THE Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones, one of the greatest rock bands ever! For heaven's sake, can you imagine how youngsters who look up to him would think when they heard that? Once again, you don't have to agree with me, I have the right to stick to my opinion and so do you.
Do pardon my sudden outburst of defensiveness. Now, I shall digress in order to lighten up the solemnity of the topic before I end this post abruptly......
